February 17, 2012: Endeavour Speciality Chemicals has entered into a formal partnership with UK manufacturer AKL Research LLP in which Endeavour will act as the sole scale-up partner for AKL’s range of building blocks and chemical intermediates. Through the partnership, Endeavour will be able to offer more than 1,300 new compounds in quantities ranging from grams to multi-kilos. The additions increase Endeavour’s chemical catalogue range to more than 2,100 products.
The new product portfolio has been designed primarily for research chemists, and complements the company’s existing range of building blocks and reactive intermediates, with applications in a range of industry sectors, including pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals and materials sciences.
The partnership includes plans for future projects that progress beyond the development scale and into commercial quantities. Endeavour’s parent company, Robinson Brothers Limited (RBL), would ensure continued supply up to 1,000 tonnes per annum.
