TPP Global Development Ltd and University of Edinburgh in drug development agreement

September 8, 2010: TPP Global Development Ltd has formed an agreement with the University of Edinburgh to collaborate on the development of novel preclinical intellectual property originated within the University. TPP and the University will focus on commercialisation opportunities in the areas of nervous system disorders, immunology/inflammation and oncology. Initially the agreement will run for five years, after which it may be extended.

TPP is a UK-based, drug development company operating in the preclinical area of the drug discovery process and in-licenses novel intellectual property (IP) from universities, research institutes and other drug companies. It develops this IP into preclinical drug assets that are then sold to large pharmaceutical or biotech companies, or spun out into separate companies. TPP concentrates on forming partnerships with academic researchers throughout the UK, Europe, the USA and Asia in order to facilitate the successful translation of novel ideas into safe and effective drugs.
