September 1, 2010: Indian contract research company Acoris Research Ltd, a subsidiary of Hikal Ltd, has has been awarded GMP certification from the FDA. Acoris’ facilities have been designed to cater to GMP norms and to fulfil Class 100,000 requirements. It comprises two 20-litre and one 50-litre jacketed glass reactors that can be operated from -30°C to 180°C. In addition, one special 50-litre glass vessel can be operated from -90°C to 180°C with cooling/heating fluid. These reactors are supported by two feed vessels, distillation facilities with receivers, scrubbers and a spray ball cleaning system. The downstream equipment includes a filter nutsch, a centrifuge, holding tanks, a vacuum tray dryer with mill and a sifter.
